Atlantis, swimming and relaxing pool in Jakarta

This place may be inspired by the legendary island proposed by Plato in his book,  Atlantis Water Adventure. But in Jakarta, Atlantis is a name of swimming pool that lots of people visit it as it has unique and relaxing places.

Atlantis is in Ancol, North Jakarta. I think this place is in the right location, because it is near Dufan (Fantasy World), Ancol Beach, sea world, and other tourism attractions still in Ancol Area. The ticket is around Rp. 250.000. But, because I came in a school study tour, so it was cheaper. ;)

My first impression when I was walking in this pool was it looked very shady and calm. Although there were a lot of visitors who came. But, because the place was so large, they were spread to every corner of swimming pool. So, I could walk slowly, sit around, and enjoying the view. There were lots of trees and plants, I did not feel hot in the air of Jakarta.

Welcomed by children swimming pool, I saw an interesting pool, colorful, animal statue and water play. But, the very important thing was the pool was not too deep, so it was safe for children to swim and play the water. Parents could guide the in their swimming time as well.

I sit around under the trees for a while, I saw the cleanliness and well-maintained of the swimming pool area. There some dustbins in very corner of the pool. I continued my walk to the middle area, and it was so amazing view with the aquarium in my left and  gazebo garden in my right side. Unfortunately, I must have rented the gazebo for around Rp. 350.000/3 hours. But not problem, there are lots of garden tables and benches that we could use for relaxing and having meals.

There were various kinds of swimming pool in Atlantis, I was just so confused to try every pool I met. From children swimming pool to adult, and professional swimming pool. The one which made me relaxed was the pool in the center of this area. It was like a river which its water went slowly. The other play, there was such a highest slide that I ever met, and I did not even want to try it.

The toilet was complete, I could see the in every corner of the area. And, Food stalls were available around the pool.
