I then decided to get out of the angkot, then went to the mall. It was one of my favorite mall, because I love to stay around this shady mall. It was surrounded by pines that made me feeling better. The mall was not too crowded as well, so I could enjoy to walk around the mall. Cinema, food courts, souvenirs are available in this mall. It was accessible for diffable people.
**Fyi, along the Jalan Cihampelas, thereare lots of street food vendors and souvenirs, Bandung style clothes and jeans shops, traditional Bandung snacks and cakes, restaurants, ATM, hotels, minimarket, food courts, etc. That's why Jalan Cihampelas was always crowded and jammed traffic. It was not a problem actually if you were not in hurry**
I actually didn't need something to buy, but I just walked around this small to see something new. The place was still the same, enjoyable, calm, and I thought it was the right place to hang out or relax.
I took my Jum'at prayer in this mall. Although, I did it in the basement, but the place was clean, well-maintained, and complete: toilet, prayer carpet, large area, and cool air. The back view of the mall was so good.
02.10 p.m. - Museum Asia Africa
Established in 1921, Gedung Merdeka was a historical building in Bandung, West Java. It named Societeit Concordia in a Netherland Administration because it was as a place for Nederlanders to gather. In Japanese Administration, it was named Dai Toa Kaikan. Then, Its name was changed by Indonesian President Soekarno in 1955 as Gedung Merdeka. It was used for the Asia Africa Conference. The architect was C. P. Wolff Schoemaker.
I was so impressed with this museum. the building was still well-maintained, clean, and equipped with the up-to-date devices. The ticket was free, but the service was so good. The museum staffs was friendly. One of them guided the visitors, including me, and helped them with his complete answer. The visitors were directing to every museum objects well. And, the museum guide explained completely about them.
The museum guided explained every single objects and all history from the front room to the last huge important hall of the museum. I was so lucky to enter this museum, I read less and listen more to the museum guide. We asked to enter the mini cinema room to watch the history he explained. The cinema room was showing the history of this museum completely as well.
After we watched the video, we were guided to the hall that Asia Africa conference held. He let us to take as many as pictures we wanted as the museum tour ended.
